In the Fall of 2002, 9 children, ages 13-18, were chosen for their natural artistic ability and a desire to participate in the Art Oasis painting class. Since that time the group has become like a family, learning and growing together. Our staff, a caring group of outstanding teachers and counselors, create a loving and emotionally supportive environment for these talented young people.
These children, from three different orphanages in Galati, are extraordinary people. Having lived lives of quiet desperation, alone and unsupported in an orphanage, they remain loving and hopeful, not defined by their suffering, a true testament of the human spirit.  I LOVE IT HERE! I always wanted to learn about Art. At first I thought there will be a certain distance kept between the children from the orphanage and the teachers, but in time I realized we are a team and a family that’s even better than the usual ones and I really don’t want us to ever be apart.
